Summary
STAGE
EIGHT – Temerloh to Bukit Fraser (127.0km)
Pushing off from
Temerloh – which is the transit point for ferries bound
for Pekan or to Tasek Bera – the peloton will head for
its first sprint at Lanchang just before reaching Karak which
is famous for its Siew Pau and fresh water fish.
After the second sprint at Karak, the race will move to Bentong
which is well-known for its several areas of recreation including
the Bukit Tinggi Resort and the nearby Colmar Tropicale –
a French-themed city.
Bentong will be the site of the last sprint of the stage before
the race heats up into Jerantut where at the 98.8km mark, it
will be the climb of their lives for the majority of the riders.
Expect changes to the overall yellow jersey leader at this point
at the end of this Hors-level climb which stretches close to
30km upwards.
