Stage 4
Port Dickson - Batu Pahat • 169.0kms

12th February 2008

Route Summary

STAGE FOUR – Port Dickson to Batu Pahat (169.0km)

Easing out of Pantai Saujana in Port Dickson, the riders, who face another daunting day in the likely hot and humid weather, will head south to Teluk Kemang, a popular beachfront with holiday makers.

Masjid Tanah, with its veritable old shophouses and the majestic Merdeka clock tower, will be the venue for the first sprint before the peloton heads into Sungai Udang, a popular camping spot for the locals.

Heading into the historical city of Melaka, the second sprint at Melaka Raya will provide a second adrenaline rush as it gives spectators the chance to feel the intensity of the Le Tour de Langkawi.

Moving further inwards, the peloton will reach Muar, the location of the Grisek Hot Spring, the Tanjung Emas Park and of course the legendary Gunung Ledang, which is Johor's highest peak at 1,267metres.

It is also the location of the third sprint on the stage just before they reach Parit Jawa to finish in Batu Pahat.
