Route
Summary
STAGE
THREE – Sitiawan to Banting(209.4km)
As the peloton lines
up in front of the 'The Store' at Jalan Lumut, they will know
that they will be facing the longest stage of the Le Tour. The
first sprint of the day comes soon after passing through Seri
Manjung in Sungai Besar. They will then head to Teluk Intan
– famous for its 'leaning tower', a beautiful pagoda-like
structure which is tilted to one side.
From Sabak Bernam, with its many attractive fishing spots, the
peloton will make its way to the second sprint at Tanjung Karang.
The side winds from the coastal road could play a part especially
as they reach the third sprint in the fishing village at Kuala
Selangor. Further on, they will arrive at Kapar, where the fourth
sprint will await them.
Needless to say, pacing themselves well will be crucial as the
peloton still has some way left before the end. They will pass
through Klang and on to Teluk Panglima Garang, a quaint old
town well-known for its fresh seafood, before finishing in front
of the Klang Municipal Council (MDKL) in Banting.
