LERUN HYPES UP LTdL 2010 SIDE EVENT

BHARU - Popular bicycle manufacturer and distributor, LERUN
continues to cooperate with the organizer of Le Tour de Langkawi
(LTdL) 2010 as the official bicycle supplier for the side
event of the tour.
LERUN
Marketing Manager, Chanson Lau said, "The LERUN bicycles
are used for various side events at the beginning and end
locations of LTdL 2010 including KL RIDE which was held at
Merdeka Square in early February and then KB RIDE in Kota
Bharu, today."
Various
exciting events have been arranged by the organizers involving
sponsors; LERUN and MILO, especially in the start and finish
venues of LTdL 2010 this time includes lucky draw.
In
addition to supplying bicycles and various accessories for
the event that involves children, LERUN bicycles will also
be used for the KL BMX JAM, a National level BMX Extreme Sports
competition in Dataran Merdeka, this February 7.
"This is our commitment to helping to boost recreational
cycling in Malaysia and through this sponsorship; we hope
the LERUN name will be well received by the community, especially
along the LTdL 2010 route."
"Starting
with KB RIDE today, LERUN hopes to expand its market, especially
in the East Coast," said Chanson.
In
today’s KB RIDE which was flagged –off by LTdL
2010 Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed b Salleh at Dataran
Stadium Muhammad IV in Kota Bharu 9am this morning, approximately
300 local fans took part to hype up the excitement towards
LTdL, which starts on Monday. At the same time, promoting
healthy lifestyle through cycling activities.
LERUN
has long been involved as event partners in LTdL. Last year,
LERUN also sponsored bicycle for various side event activities
in the start and finish locations.

The
15th edition of the LTdL this year is organized by the Ministry
of Youth and Sports with assistance from the Malaysian National
Cycling Federation and has been granted hors category status
by the International Cycling Union (UCI). The race comprises
seven stages which are Kota Bharu - Kuala Berang which covers
174.5km, followed by Kuala Terengganu - Chukai (182.3km);
Pekan - Mersing (145.6km); Mersing-Parit Sulong (163.5km);
Muar - Port Dickson (111.5km) Putrajaya - Genting Highlands
(102.8km) dan Kuala Kubu Baru - Dataran Merdeka (133.7km),
with a total distance of 1013.9km.
As
many as 120 cyclists from 20 teams, including two local teams
will contest in the race.
