LUMPUR - Le Tour de Langkawi’s faithful event partner,
MILO will again lend their support to the organization of
the 15th edition which starts on the 1st to 7th March, through
nutritious MILO drink and energize the riders with POWERBAR.
As the Premium Sponsor MILO will also be providing squeeze
bottles and feeding bag for the riders.
To
enliven this prestigious Asian tour, MILO hype up Fiesta Le
Tour de Langkawi 2010 with MILO BMXTOUR, activities and games
such as Junior Sprint Challenge – an event for children
to demonstrate their talents in short distance race.
Followed
by Bicycle Street Challenge; a more interactive game that
teenagers can participate. MILO BMXTOUR will be the curtain-call
which will close the event with the presentation of Malaysia’s
Best BMX Extreme Riders; they will show off their flatland
skills and high fly tricks.

"he said during the sponsorship ceremony at the LTdL
2010 Secretariat in Bukit Jalil today.
Ping
Loong said, to add more excitement to LTdL this year, MILO
Energy Truck; a mobile interactive unit will make appearance
at all LTdL 2010 Fiesta site with a lots of games and goodies
awaiting those who participate.
Fiesta
visitors will also be entertained by popular singers and local
comedians. Lucky visitors will also get a chance to win prizes
such as bicycles and Holiday packages contributed by our sponsor.
On
the final stage there will be KL BMX JAM - a national level
BMX competition specially organised for Le Tour de Langkawi
and supported by MILO. Last but not least, for those who waiting
by the road side along the race route, MILO will be greeting
fans with goodies and product samplings through the LTdL cavalcade
convoy.
The 15th
edition of the LTdL this year is organized by the Ministry
of Youth and Sports with assistance from the Malaysian National
Cycling Federation and has been granted hors category status
by the International Cycling Union (UCI). The race comprises
seven stages which are Kota Bharu - Kuala Berang which covers
174.5km, followed by Kuala Terengganu - Chukai (182.3km);
Pekan - Mersing (145.6km); Mersing-Parit Sulong (163.5km);
Muar - Port Dickson (111.5km) Putrajaya - Genting Highlands
(102.8km) dan Kuala Kubu Baru - Dataran Merdeka (133.7km),
with a total distance of 1013.9km.
As
many as 120 cyclists from 20 teams, including two local teams
will contest in the race.
