give RM1mil to Tour of Langkawi

KUALA LUMPUR: Milo have given this
year’s Tour of Langkawi (LTdL) a huge boost with an RM1mil
sponsorship — in cash and kind — despite the global
economic slowdown.
This is the second consecutive year that
Milo are sponsoring the same amount to the Tour, which will be
held from Feb 9-15.
Milo marketing and sponsorship manager
Ng Ping Loong said they were happy to be involved in promoting
the Tour for the 13th year.
“The Tour has created a big following
among fans from all walks of life as the riders go through rural
areas as well as the cities,’’ said Ping Loong.
He added that the success of local sprinter
Anuar Manan had captured the interest of many Malaysians.
“The Tour has also generated a lot
of interest among youngsters and this is good for the future of
cycling in the country,” said Ping Loong.
Milo will also be sponsoring the green jersey
— for the sprint king — in the LTdL.
